Granny's gone and done it again

and now according to some you are not NIPPI anymore. Rules must be different everywhere. Here they have to come to your house and test your birds. I think Camping did too ?
My farm is not NPIP, I am a certified NPIP tester. No antigen available in the whole country.

NOt sure what you mean by this. How do you test? What antigen? What does i5 test for?
You get a drop of blood, put it on a slide. You add the antigen. If it reacts, The bird is positive for pullorum. In that case, you report to authorities and the test is done again. There has not been a case since the 1980s, but I guess they want to keep it that way

good something all. Busy and beautiful day yesterday. About 70* and sunny OF course today when I was going to try and till some more garden it is raining again. NOT so far gone mentally that I am going to try and till wet garden in the rain with an electric tiller.

Did some clothes shopping, 4 pairs of jeans, 2 shirts , 2 pair of sandals and one of tennis shoes for about 150 bucks done for at least a year or maybe 2.

Lu and pups are doing great. Still some discharge BUT much less.

7 dogs snoring and gentle rain is one trigger to many I am off to the sucker chair

Pullorum disease is an infectious poultry disease caused by the bacterium Salmonella pullorum. The disease affects mainly young chicks and poults, but can also affect older chickens, game birds, guinea fowl, ostriches, parrots, peafowl, ring doves, sparrows and turkeys.

Oh, is that the only disease they test for. No one else in your state an do it?
No, there are many testers. That is the one thing they test. There is another test they can do where you send eggs in to be tested. I will have to check which disease that tests for. It was quite a short class, and I arrived a little late because I got lost up there.

Sketching out the Rooster Roost. Thinking 3 ft square, about 2 ft off the ground. The roof will slant with openings 6 ft at the front and 12ft at the back for ventilation. The roofing also will overhang a wee bit for further element protection.

What do you think? Would 2x4s be sufficient for the “four posts” or should I be safe and go with 4x4?
