Granny's gone and done it again

I bought the pup a new bed.
We had 2 Shelties that always got carsick. Until they rode with us from Nova Scotia to New York. After that they never got sick again.

Bruce, what size pond ?
Roughly 100' long, maybe 40' wide at the north end. MAYBE 8' deep at the north end after I dug it out when it went dry last summer. Water level dropping now, no rain and it doesn't have any other source. :fl we have a normal rain year and it stays fairly full this year. The white outlined area is where the chickens are stuck (plus the part between the barns) after the fox attack.

I washed the pots. Someone had to do it. And I got 2 plants put in the ground before it started raining again. I was hoping to get some work done outside. Did manage to get the last 2 boards painted for the nest box I have been working on. And 2 boards painted for the packing crate coop.
Sure glad the power came back on.

So what you’re seeing is the rideau river and rideau canal. In order to let the boats cross through where there would normally be rapids/elevation changes they put in “locks” so...

Canal | boat | Canal
^using the | to show where the lock gates would be. So the boat sails in, past the first lock, and they close the gate behind it. So now he’s between the two gates, and they can pump out or pump in water to bring the water level that the boat is at to where it needs to be when it exits.

well thats cool Star. where theres a will, theres a way .
I just got back from town. poured rain on us. The house that sorta attaches to cvs lived an ol man that is sweet as possible. 90 some yrs young he grew a garden every yr and passed out his extra tomatoes. I bought a chair and an air cond. from him over the yrs. This yr there is no garden and today a sign that says there will be an auction there. Thats very sad to me.
