No, but I just keep giving her chicks. I’m not sure if she’ll reach a point where she’s like “no, that’s too many.” She only hatched one chick, and now she has 12. she’s bound to get suspicious at some point.

LOL Is Hope the only one left ? If so I would probably give her to the hen but if she still has company I wouldnt .

There are still 5 in the brooder. A RIR, the frizzles, a silkie, and hope.

Then why worry about giving her Hope if you will still have 4 more. I dont think you can add 5 more to what she has already. Is she a LF?

I will take that back before it gets cold. If she is in a coop by herself and the chicks cant get out then you probably could add them all. Its warm enough she dont have to cover them all so she will just teach them how to forage,ect...

She’s a buff Orpington. The chicks haven’t had heat since the first week. We’ve got temps like pert.

I want her to tend the babies and raise them for me.

I didnt actually hit the floor but might of been better if I had. I was letting the dogs out and forgot the light so I kinda twisted to reach back to get it and my ankle twisted and caused me to lose balance where my poor ol sore stomach hit the corner of the deep freeze and tossing me into the wall where I was able to catch myself from going all the way down.
