Granny's gone and done it again

OMG !! They are adorable ! Ive never seen them. Why the leg band ? Are they pets ?
Probably part of a study... capture, band, release. They are mostly insect eaters, but will eat the occasional seed, sap, or piece of fruit (I looked it up!)
Ruby crowned kinglet males are beautiful... I found a dead one in the neighbors yard some years ago. Such bright feathers

wishing you better luck this time around
Thanks, yeah I will likely take them right away if the silkies hatch any. I may let the cochin try mothering for a bit but will check really regularly.

GOOD lord the ice was so thick on the truck last night I had to let the defroster blow and truck run for over 1/2 hour before trying to drive. My ice scrapper just sort of skidded across the top of the ice.
Sledge hammer!:D

They are pretty. Southern states always have more colorful birds. I love them little yellow ones though . If Nugget wasnt such a bad kitty I would think about a canary . Thats one I never had.
