unless the snow was REALLY packed hard by the wind, I have actually seen snow drifts so "hard" the cattle walked up and over fences.

AND OMG the horn's try getting them thru a chute or into a head gate. I have read GREAT things about the Dexter breed.

Milk meat and draft. I am just being picky on the stock. I want Registered and Negative on the Chrono and the other gene. Needs to come from solid stock. Adults I need to be able to see them handled. Yeah, one person wanted 2 grand for a bull that had never been handled. I am 5 ft and 145 lbs. I am not going head to deal with an unhandled bull that is 6+ times my weight

I got a neat wooden wine box I am going to keep beads in. I found some wood at Lowes ( scrap wood) but they wanted like $30 for it, I could buy a whole sheet of plywood for that much. Got a good deal on extension cords and those surge protectors. Their xmas decor was half off. I did get paint $9 a gallon. And a few evergreen branches free. And a bag of pea gravel for my fish tank.
Rural King had no chicks at all. I did get feed, a farmer's almanac for $2.99, 8 foot t posts, fencing and even chicken wire. ( The chickens go through the fence in the chicken yard).
I got fabric and thread on sale at Joanne fabric.
I spent over $40 sending a small box to Canada, it is highway robbery!

Yep, or The coyotes use the snowpacks to gain easy access to pens. My pair of LGDs up in WI took out a pack of coyotes. Neighbors came out and helped me shoot the ones that dogs didn't kill.
