I got a neat wooden wine box I am going to keep beads in. I found some wood at Lowes ( scrap wood) but they wanted like $30 for it, I could buy a whole sheet of plywood for that much. Got a good deal on extension cords and those surge protectors. Their xmas decor was half off. I did get paint $9 a gallon. And a few evergreen branches free. And a bag of pea gravel for my fish tank.
Rural King had no chicks at all. I did get feed, a farmer's almanac for $2.99, 8 foot t posts, fencing and even chicken wire. ( The chickens go through the fence in the chicken yard).
I got fabric and thread on sale at Joanne fabric.
I spent over $40 sending a small box to Canada, it is highway robbery!
That is why it takes a very special occasion for me to send a care package up to Canada. Blooming expensive.
Back to catch up! Granny I answered your question in the message thread :) sorry, not hiding from y’all. Got home and had to cook up a roast for dinner - meant to do it last night when I had time but that got thwarted. So did it tonight with mashed taters and a salad. That gives us leftovers for lunch tomorrow AND leftovers to go in hubs’ ramen Wednesday ;) he’s upset about his ramen diet but hey. Actions have consequences. Gotta pay to play....and especially with other considerations right now (trying to figure out how to pull another 4K out of my butt for this truck)...well. We’ll be doing life cheap for a while.

at least I have a new layer. CRAZY WHITE CHICKEN aka my little leghorn has started laying!!

And being it was mailed from here in the US will take a month or more to arrive at the destination. Since my husband runs to CA all the time I send stuff to him and he drops it over the border for CA addresses.
Guh. I need to use your husband sometime lol. Flat rate to you, he can post it once across the border...but Canada post ain’t all that cheap either.
