The black stuff IS licorice. It's from a root or a rhyzome or something from a licorice plant. Too much isn't good for you... lowers your potassium levels and throws off your electrolytes.

It thins your blood too, like aspirin.

Morning all, Nurse is due today according to her. I just called, she aint coming. Tom is in pain and his foot is swelled pretty bad. The shoe they gave him dont even want to close.
My back s some better. Just stiff and sore.

Have you had him elevate the foot on a pillow? Maybe apply ice in a towel for short periods of time. Hope he feels better soon.

Seems like every 5 mins. I am telling him to put his chair up and stop crossing his legs. He will do it then water pill makes him get up.

I hope he's going to be ok! You might take him in if the nurse isn't coming?

I am not looking forward to doing his foot at all. I am actually kinda scared it will start bleeding again and who wants to see their DHs bones ? I have to scrub that wound and it freaking hurts. Anyone else but him. He has had enough pain.

ER wont do anything Leyla, just change bandage maybe. I took this on to keep him out of a nursing home. I have to do it. Theres just no other way.
