It's important to know what type of mites they have. Go look in the coop after dark and shine a flashlight on the roosts to see if there are any tiny mites crawling there. Those would be red mites and you really need to focus on treating the coop as well as the bird. Red mites live and lay eggs in the coop. They come out at night to suck blood from the chickens. They can kill a bird pretty quickly.Someone has mites ugh![]()

If the mites are not on the roosts, they are probably northern fowl mites which live and lay eggs on the birds. Treat the birds first and then the coop.
