Granny's gone and done it again

It depends on if your rooster has one or two barred genes. Barring gene is dominant and sex linked. In chickens, the female has the short chromosome (sex linked chromosome), so she can only get one copy of the barring gene. If your barred rooster has one gene, then 50% of his female offspring will be barred. If he is double barred, all of the female chicks will be barred.


They also tend towards gluttony. They like to EAT!

You don't know that until you find out what's wrong. Could be a tendon out of place or something.

So get the xrays and a diagnosis. Then you know what is needed. Then you can have it done when you have time or can't stand the pain any more.
Next week we have tues, wednes and thursday dr appts. If I get bad news tuesday Im not going to be fit to do anything.
