Seems like to walk around the house one would HAVE to be outside!

That looks really nice. I have just lightish brown gravel. I'd never be able to vacuum the junk out of the gravel if I had any sort of "artistic" in my tank. I don't even bother to do anything with the plants other than stuff them in the gravel.

Thanks Bruce. You cant vacuum w/ plants except for just over them not touching. It will still suck the muck !

I just let all the plants get up rooted when I vacuum and the shove them back in. I push the vacuum tube all the way to the glass on the bottom of the tank then lift it slightly. When the water it fairly clear I pull the tube up and shove it in another nearby spot. I put a finger over the hose in the bucket when I move the tube so I don't pull too much water too fast.

Of course it wouldn't likely be dirty that deep if I vacuumed it more often. I'll admit I only do it every month or maybe 6 weeks

It was a huge auction! They had loads of animals. I didn't take anything to sell, it was too cold. Didn't end up buying anything either
