I havent been able to get my pears to bloom here Kelly. I hope you have better luck. They were blooming when I bought them.
I just found Shadows paperwork. Not 20 yrs. old. 17. He has refused water and food today. Except for one small treat. Robert wants me to take him in . He said he is suffering. I rather he pass at home. The vets want you to stay in your car and they will come get the animal

My one pear produced pairs last year and this year both are blooming. Along with the plums. We plan to relocate the 5 apple trees to the area on the other side of the fence on our end lot. Hubby wants to make it a mini orchard on that lot.

Sorry about Shadow. Not sure what I would do in the same situation.

Well DW and I went to So. Cal 2 weeks ago. Visiting relatives is a sure way to get behind on forums and other internet things since it is kinda rude to be on the computer all the time. Plus it isn't like I see them all that often.

We've been home a week, it has taken that long to try and catch up with all the internet things I follow. Gave up when I got to this thread, it moves too fast! I was going to stay 2 weeks but things started to get shut down and I figured I better come home with DW before I got stuck in So. Cal. Nice people (my relatives) but I wouldn't want to live there again.

Sorry Tom's foot isn't getting better faster but it sounds positive on the whole.

Today bubba asked if he could have this box. He’s thanked me at least ten times.

Isn't it great when they can be amused by simple things??

I have been craving some scallops and I actually found them for sale at aldies but I didnt buy them. No idea how to cook them. I remember them being very tender and juicy. battered I think.

I see there were recipes posted, good. One thing about scallops, like shrimp, is you REALLY don't want to over cook them. Might as well be eating an eraser ... a very expensive eraser.

We got the hermit crabs into their new-to-is tank today. Bubba actually put down the video games and hasn’t looked back.

Geez, it is $2.29 here and that is down $0.30 from a few weeks ago. We are always getting screwed on the price of gas compared to the national average. Nothing like in California though.

Hi Bruce, glad you got to visit family. Porter, yup the creek again.
I made a small handful of scallops and ya, erasers. terrible tasting too. I used garlic salt butter and parsley. It was all salt. Thats all I could taste. blech
