Wishing I actually thought about you the other day when I read a meme to DH about corpses on Mt Everest. The kids both said “WAIT... WHAT?!” And bubba was obsessed with the bodies on Everest for about a week afterward.

One better then I have. LOL Im sure they are adorable. My hatches used to stretch out for days. I figured it had something to do w/ either the way I stored them or when they were laid.

Rotating them around the incubator helps to encourage more consistent hatch times. Many incubators have hot and cold spots which can make the hatch last for days. If you have enough eggs in the incubators they can take forever either way, lol. I'm usually pretty fortunate that most of my chicks hatch between late day 20 and early day 22 so only a little over 24 hours...but man I'm tired after this hatch!...I got some peacock eggs...but after this I really really plan on stopping hatching. lol

Really? Mine do pretty well. Though I guess not as productive as "I'm in it for the egg money" breeds.


Oh, do they eat burdock as well? I've got that and stinging nettle and thistle!!

How long until they think the river will go back down?

I m not sure but probably I am constantly amazed by all the things/type of plants they will eat. OF course each one doesn't eat all but evidently up to individual taste.

He’s probably just busy with motel/yak/farm/rona concerns/the red river is flooding again. (Twist do you remember the 98 flooding? That was a big deal - I was living in Winnipeg at the time. Got time off school to go sandbag)

yeppers. You forgot getting ready for a house guest until the plague is over as well. NOT sure how that is going to go.
