We freeze extra stew all the time. No problem.I hope it can be froze. My crock pot is to the top . I hope it dont spill over.
I dipped in flour , browned , removed , fried onions and 3 cloves of fresh CA. crushed garlic and rosemary. then loosened all the bits w/ the wine and onion soup . added carrots and potatoes and transferred to crock pot.Lamb, potatoes, onion, carrots.
Did you brown the lamb first? Browning is what gives you all the flavor.

Oh wait, maybe skip the salt... onion soup usually has plenty.
It's always good to add something acid to a stew. Gives it a depth of flavor and wine will be fine for that. What type was it? Dry (sour) would work best.Does that sound good or did I ruin it w/ the white wine ? I dont like wine so glad the flavor isnt the same as it was .
