Granny's gone and done it again

Our dogs don’t shed. They are like a poodle hair. It has to be cut though like yours.

Those GSD could be very nice dogs. Or they should be for that price. I can’t understand the health testing. We do all our dogs through OFA.ORG. You can look up any dog through them by their registered name.
I asked them about that. I guess the imports from Czech are done through the Czech equivalent - not ofa.

I admit. The more the email conversations go on, I’m seeing a few red flags. He (I’m assuming it’s the head honcho, though he doesn’t sign his emails or anything - poor etiquette right there...) got super defensive when I asked about what their 100% genetic guarantee entailed. Apparently you get a free puppy. Buuuut...
and he’s kinda going oh this breeding should be able to produce a good pup for your needs! Meanwhile on the description for the sire it says high prey drive. “Oh but he’s stable towards animals”
Sigh. High prey drive may mean different things in the schutzhund world and the general world but I think he’d put that as high protection drive or something instead...to not leave the ambiguity.

Husband is super antsy I’m looking into this now. :/ “but I thought we’d take some time off”

I told him dude. You have your off-roading and your wrenching. I have my dog. That’s all there is to it. I’m also looking into it now so I don’t do a jump to the nearest dog. (As much as it probably drives breeders crazy for me to say I don’t know the timeline. It’s dependent entirely on the cancer)

No, you are doing the right thing. Take your time. Research. Where are the health tests for animals he has bred? Everything is German based.
You can’t 100 percent guarantee a living animal. Stuff happens but a good breeder will stand behind their breedings. Ask him for a copy of the pet contract. Read it thoroughly. Ask if you can meet the parents. I still don’t like the fact that he breeds so much. He has three bitches he has just bred. Unless he has beaucoup people working for him I don’t see how he could socialize all those puppies. That’s is why my pups are whelped by bed and at 4 weeks they go in the living room.

I think it looks like a high volume breeder.
