Toms DD sent me a picture of her legs tonight . I was shocked at how bad they looked and talked her into going to the er. Cellulitis That girl just cant catch a break. She still insists on working when she should of been on disability yrs ago.

One of my broody mottled cochins died. She was soaking wet and dead in the bottom of the coop. I have no idea why. I think I need to grow some out. I do have a few of the chicks here and there.
Tomorrow I need to wrap eggs to ship monday.

Good news, I slept well. Bad news, I am still tired. It was surprising to see I had 3 California valley quail hatched yesterday! They look like the one in the photo but smaller.

My brain inserted “banty” in broody mottled cochin. You’re probably right about the full-sized ones. Our big rat snakes would constrict a full-sized bird and try to swallow, but not be able to. I would find them dead and slimy.
