Granny's gone and done it again

unless I missed a post that wasnt here.
I think Cap and some others helped me decide what kind of dw to order.... 🤔 or was that in another thread? I'm sure it was here, but many pages back.... this is pretty much my onliest "social" thread any more. But who knows, I may be lost! 🤣

Aww, maaaaan! 😔
Well, I did get something positive done today... Cleaned house! Friday ritual around here, including vacuuming Gator. (When I first got him he chased the floor piece, then when I told him 'no', he would stand between me and the floor piece, I finally vacuumed him one day and found out that's one of his favorite things to do. Now it's hard to get vacuuming done as he's right there, ready willing and able). Also got the 3 cockerels listed in Craig's List to make room for pullets. Will just have to go to the farmers auction over in Opp next Saturday. They do all the odd farm stuff 3rd Sat of the month. Hopefully I will find some pullets there. Sure was wanting some of those buff brahma's the guy had.

Howdys, went back to bed at 4am and slept til 1pm. yikes. I would say Im caught up.

A Wonderful Life Lesson!!! So true!!

There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. Every year he won the award for the best grown corn. One year a news reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors. “How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?” the reporter asked.

“Why sir,” said the farmer, “Didn’t you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn.”

So is with our lives... Those who want to live meaningfully & well must help enrich the lives of others, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all.
I wonder if that includes feeding your neighbor's dogs daily and providing them shelter when a big storm is rolling in? That's indirectly helping a neighbor.

A few snaps from my vacation. It was pretty, but hot. I'm glad to be home.

Oh. And granny this fudge is $10 a slice. Not very good fudge either. I keep telling my grandma if she could sell hers in bulk she'd make a killing.
