Ya know, I was 'diagnosed' with german measles just after I got out of basic.. funny I had them as a child, and so that didn't seem right to me. Then when I had #2 son (my daughter) I had a nasty flare up.. That doctor diagnosed me with RA. Hmmm, I went to see a practitioner of TCM years later and he said, liver problems.. get it checked.. So I went to the VA and the nurse there was thoughtful enough to recognize the symptoms. RA titer not high enough for RA, no joint damage at all, and had me tested for Hep C. Yup. sure enough.. VA kept trying to push the rabaviron/interferon treatment on me, but I did my homework and saw that it had a very low cure rate, ntm made a lot of folks more depressed, so I waited. Then came Harvoni.. did more research and said, Oki Doki and went for it. 4 weeks into treatment, I was clear and have remained clear to this day.

Did they go up your nose for that test ?

I hope you get to feeling better soon. I have given up all nightshade plants and I think it helping my my joint pain.

God Bless ya for enduring the treatment. Now it's 8 - 12 weeks on Harvoni. I had a mild headache the first day and drank water which fixed it. Within 2 weeks of starting Harvoni I had more energy than I knew what to do with so I bounced off the walls a while, then painted the house.

Granny, have you been checked for celiacs disease? It comes from eating glutennnnn... wheat ya know, bread, muffins, pancakes, all the good stuff. My stepmother had bad back pain, and they discovered she had celiacs.. That put dad in a whole new mode of cooking.. but helped her tons. No more cookies or brownies for you!

Don't know where you are, but we got hit with a very sudden microburst. My athletic girl had gone for a walk up the road, then I heard thunder. Jumped in the car and went to get her. She and the dog were SOAKED already, lol. Thunder n lightning all over the place, oh my! Five minutes later and it's moving on.

I read in another thread that grass was not good for chickens, especially the kind you mow, but... I use it in the 'hen house' to cover the floor, then the following week I roll it up starting on one end and just rolling it.. easy peasy hen house cleaning. Also had 3 full wheel barrows of it that I spread one around (they weren't much impressed with, but dumped two loads in there and boy howdy.. Charlie Sheen was the first to jump in the piles and crow, then kicked it everywhere. Today no piles are to be seen, it's spread all over. Then gave them some very green stuff I mowed this morning (mostly weeds from the 'outback') and again.. woop! Henrietta found her a nice big green hopper (Jimini Cricket) to run around with.

I feel like I made my chickens sick w/ fresh cut grass. MG CRD what ever it was. Wild birds carry it and I gathered up the grass and they got the bubbles in their eyes shortly after that. Took a long while to get rid of including a new flock but I did manage.
