they messed up last time. Checks went to some inmates in prison and people who are in homes already paid for by the government who don't have any bills to pay. Some people are getting more on unemployment than they got working, and don't want to go back!

I still have mine. Didn't feel good about receiving it. I still was getting my SS check.

Mine got spent paying off the vet bills from peach’s vet visit, surgery and biopsy.

Several European countries sent their kids back to school with no masks. S. Korea did as well, but with masks. None of the countries saw any spread of the virus among the children nor did they see any transfer of the virus to adults. Even the American Pediatric Society recommends getting our kids back to school. School is a safety net for many kids in the US. Sadly, some are at greater risk at home. It's also creating a huge gap in achievement between poor kids and those whose parents can afford the internet and have the time to help them with the online stuff. Poor kids are at a huge disadvantage.

They already are, but yes. This puts them even worse off.

our mayor was on tv for a couple hrs telling everyone about the masks and introducing others and not the first one had a mask on.

I gotta say. The San Diego press conference I saw they did it right....as far as I know. If they were social distancing off camera, I can’t be sure but they’d all step up to the podium, remove mask, speak, step away and someone else would go.

whee. Got her two days worth of food out of that. I’m upping her intake cause...she has been dropping weight. So I’ve got these two cup containers, fill it about half with rice, half with the meat stuff, add some bone broth and call it a day. Gets one for breakfast and one for dinner.
