I thought about the original post, and your reply and wonder if you thought I was making a political statement. If that is the case it was not my intention. I really only did mean that the ability to throw a ball well has no bearing on doing ANY profession well, other than those that require skill in ball throwing.

Righto... My Grandfather's father entered NY State from Canada in Buffalo. Aunt Alma that lived to 104 (Grandma's sister) was living there. Not sure if Buffalo is considered upstate, but it's more upper than here, for instance.. LOL

maybe I should have said "Outer Space" Oops.

Those poor folks in Buffalo get the lake effect snow every time! I was born in Oneonta.

I am soaked. Just came in from watering and feeding. Going back out at 10 to pack the truck. I will likely get up at 5 or so tomorrow. Luckily I had a nap today.

They told DHs mom that they were coming last year and she told them no! I think we should invest in a tent and camping gear.

Good plan! That is a lot of people to cram into a house for that period of time.

Next is deck repair.. Have to replace a bunch of deck boards, then paint. Silly people who put the deck up didn't leave room between the slats to allow for water to drain, and the cracks are so small they got clogged with debris.

I have that problem. That and the prior owner painted it with latex. It is all peeling off in sheets now down to bare wood. IMO latex should never be used on wood that doesn't have an oil based primer coat.

Look husband, your shop is bigger than the house INCLUDING GARAGE,AND you have two containers! (20 foot and a 40 foot) FIGURE IT OOT!!!

Dang right! Once he got those 2 containers, the garage should have been returned to a functional state.

I think people in NYC think that anything north of Manhattan is "upstate".

And we only have one spare bedroom. Son and DIL sleep there. Last time the kids slept in my loft, just outside my room.
