Good Lord. She's sitting there on the computer asking for suggestions, and then saying 'home remedies will work'. And it's true, the younger the snake, the worse the bite because they don't know how to control it.

My GM got hit twice w/ a copperhead. She used her "cough syrup" as a home remedy. It worked !

I've heard that before. "Cough syrup". Used to be you could get turpinhydrate at Big B drugs here in Alabama. They've taken it off the shelves. I used it a few times, and boy howdy did it burn going down, and was drunk a few minutes later, but it was effective on coughs. I had a golden lab once that got bitten by a snake.. I gave her ham and beans to absorb any poison, and she got better!
