My EEs have slate grey legs.Feathered legs would definitely suggest Marans, not EE. And EEs generally have green legs, I don't think Marans do.
They don't generally get broody as soon as they start laying. Pullet eggs are smaller and produce smaller chicks.The other 3 hens with Bruiser were responding to her, but none of them have laid an egg.. Maybe she was just announcing the arrival of an egg.. I need to check her today for broodiness.
