He probably knows best. My DGD had a panic attack driving to work tonight and took herself to the ER on her counselor's advice. She will probably be in Behavioral Health for 2 or 3 days. Anxiety is nothing to mess around with.

aww, Im sorry to hear this. I hope she gets better quickly. I have tried to get Robert into counseling for years. He is so stubborn

I dont know why you and Wishing both dont get an air cond. I would be in the hospital w/that.

Most summers we usually only have a week of really hot weather and it usually cools off at night quite a bit. The expense and bother setting up and storing an AC unit just isn't worth it. Fans work pretty good. I just like complaining! But I really really really don't like the heat... unless it's winter and coming from the wood stove!
CA has turned me into a total weather wimp!

yes we do--we lost 3 of our older hens to a fox earlier this year--those leghorns are so friendly! no other animals except 3 family dogs. Back when my husband was a kid this was his family's dairy farm. His mom had a few pigs too. This is 5 generations now here

I had a single quail survive hatching this time. The first one that hatched got into the humidity well in the incubator and drowned. The last two had to be helped out of their eggs. One died soon after that. Well I couldn't leave it alone so I put it in with the banty chicks. You should see it cuddle up with them! And it runs circles around them, it's so fast!
And i have at least one and possibly two Large Fowl cochins that are broody. The broody polish is still on the nest.

Well I finally planted a couple of the plants sitting around in pots. Getting kind of tired of pulling weeds. I am going to have to get rid of the blackberries in the garden . Too shady for the tomatoes to ripen. Thinking of moving the blackberries into the pen with the blueberry plants.

Do blackberries like soil as acidic as the blueberries do?
