It's just not worth it. It has to be that or Listeriosis. Treatment is the same for both. I can't see spending a couple hundred dollars on a $150 goat. Either she makes it or she doesn't. I rarely take livestock to a vet unless they need surgery. I also plan to take her off pelleted feed and give her bottles again. I have antibiotics I bought and B complex vitamins. Read all about treatment on the internet.
Oki doki, well this should be fun! I'll take an empty coffee can full of warm epsom salts water down there later, and see how long I can get him to soak it. Ha ha ha...Epson salt soak will help draw it out
Yeah I did, and gave them . Now I think Misty has bloat. She is always pushing the others out of the way to eat, since she is the biggest. Gave her bloat medication.Get the inj b vitamins.
Actually, I had a hen in a warm epsom salts bath and she liked it so much I didn't have to hold her. She just laid there!Oki doki, well this should be fun! I'll take an empty coffee can full of warm epsom salts water down there later, and see how long I can get him to soak it. Ha ha ha...
Wow that is a big difference. What is everyone doing today? It was quite hot here today. I ran around getting the medications the goats need. Then we were trying to weigh them to figure out how much medication to give them. The scale did not want to work. Little Windy is still only 9 pounds, and Misty is 20 pounds!
Very cute!He he he..
