Granny's gone and done it again

My zinnias are finally starting to fade. If I cut the old flowers off, new one will grow, but I want to leave some for seeds.



Those are sweet. She could add a hoop at one end and make key chains too.

I have saved seed heads all summer. I wanted to save them by color to plant a rainbow, but some were sun bleached and they all dried the same color. :/

I bought a 6 pack of zinnia starts that were supposed to be a variety of colors. All 6 were red. Boring, but at least I know the color! These are a short variety that branch out to make more flowers, so they would look nice in front of taller plants. Can't remember the variety name...
Been saving cosmos seeds too.

No, but at least I wasn't woken up all night by evacuation alerts like the past couple of nights. Weather is cooler and winds died which slows the spread. The 2 nearest were not contained at all the last I heard... mabye a little by now.
