Sprout mats are like a square of carpet that the sprouting seeds make when the roots grow and start getting all tangled together.. I've thrown bird seed out in the coops and it's sprouting here and there... then poof it disappears, so the kids are munching on the newly sprouted millet and stuff.View attachment 2307016

I'm soaking my seeds in a tray.. it's on the back deck where the seeds can receive warmth. May need to move it to the front deck where there's constant shade.. But then I have to remember to keep them 'watered'.

I am starting a veg soup for dinner, going to include a couple cans of beans. Black and kidney. Should I drain and rinse, or just dump 'em in?

I would at least drain them if not rinsing as well... Ya don't want all that goo in with your veggies.

Oh Lawd, just got into a FB Battle with my dad's only brother.. So sad, but I'm sooooooooo tired of him bashing the current prez.

I know that about the only thing worse than talking politics is talking religion, but I'm gonna do it and if this gets deleted, well, oh well. Here goes. The Bible says God ultimately sets up our rulers and they need our support and prayers, whether we like them or not. In anyone's lifetime we are going to have some we do and some we don't. But civilization depends on us all pulling together for the good of the country. Fighting and tearing down from the inside does nobody any good. The great thing about our nation is that we have the right to choose our leaders. So get out and vote!
