Granny's gone and done it again

Yeah, more truth than fiction. DH got it for me for Christmas, that and a sign of a gun toting woman with the caption, This Coop Guarded By A Crazy Chicken Lady.

What can I say, my man knows me. He also knows when he asks me how many chickens I currently have that I'm going to reply 'somewhere between mumble mumble mumble and mumble mumble mumble' and beat a hasty retreat.
Awesomeeeeee answer!

I'm barefooted! No chicken goop here. All shoes come off at the door. Got tired of the silly dogs licking the bottoms of my sloggers.

I'm getting ready to go out and feed and gather eggs. What's everyone else up to?
Well, other than mowing this morning, going to the store, chatting on line, and taking a nap.. not much. When I came in the front door from the YEEP, I noticed my airplants under the eave needed watering so I left the door cracked... got busy putting things away, answering messages, etc until I went in and laid down (still hadn't watered the plants). Got awoken to a happy lil Lilbit jumping all over me with excitement.. Seems there was a big storm coming and Meine and Lilbit let themselves in... Meine was guarding the brooder room again, and well... There went that nap!

training my dog!

I have officially decide to name my place Fort McCluck.. I'll just put signs over the new quonset huts that say Clucks and Cocks.. until the next two are build, then there's another quandary for me.. what to name them.
Ok, each 'set' of huts will be named in succession.. First Air Division, Clucks and Cocks.. Second Air Division.. bla bla... We got it made in the shade now!

What did you put it in? A bowl or something? So funny watching my lil ones all around the feeder with heads buried in the feed.
Any pan, bowl or baking dish will do depending how many you have and how big they are. I got a bunch of big cooking spoons to mix it up with. There are a couple of cages where the birds don't like it, but most of them chow it down . Less waste for sure.
