Obedience Trials.....if our 5 cattle dogs went to an obedience TRIAL they would get the chair.

Seriously tho, I love short coated dogs. Two of our dogs had long coats and needed regular hair cuts to keep things under control, one was a Border Collie Aussie Collie mix and the other was a Standard poodle terrier schnauzer mix and they were both magnets for every cockle bur in the county.

While I miss them deeply, I sure don't miss those spring sheering and endless fights with mat removers.

I had a Standard Poodle and just kept her clipped short. No shedding is great!

Yeah. I was lucky with peach (my last girl). She was a mixed breed but her coat was short. I’ll take constant shedding over monthly groomer visits and mats and clumps any day!

hey h2o, with the obedience trials...do they need to be intact and akc registered normally? Or can any pup participate?

high today was 58* and about that for hummerdiddity BIG change from Thurs when it was 96* .
