I'm not that good at chicken math yet.. gimme a break! If all 6 hatch, that'll give me 25 chickens... I'm still building areas for them to live... speaking of which... I has a new idea on how to build a coop with 1 cattle panel... neener neener neener..

Good morning everyone. Overcast and humid today. 79°. I need to unload the truck so I can go get feed tomorrow. Always keeps me busy. And I want to finish scrubbing that coop, and painting it. Of course, hubby has other ideas. He wants everything out of the spare bedroom so he can paint. Ugh. I have my own stuff to do.

Yush, I used a piece of nylon rope to shape it into a circle (leaving 2ft space for a door). I can stake it down, but I'm putting in a doorway too, which will keep the circular shape. So, with a circumference of 18 feets (16 ft panel + 2 foot doorway) I have a diameter of 5.75 feets. That should be good for a pair, or a small grow out pen for a couple of chicks until they are big enough to go in the big run.
If I do set them up for a breeding pair, this is where Cap's idea of putting the nesting box on the outside will come in handy... woot woot!
