Granny's gone and done it again

I did get a close up of Twisty while her head was buried in the lick tub and I was moving bale feeders and cleaning out where they sat last year.

She is starting to "bag up" and the hoo haw looked a little swollen.

How long does it usually take after these signs, Twist? Could she go another week? Um . .. 8 days? If she calves on the day I picked, can I name the calf? <hopeful grin> Or do you have names picked out already?

As long as you have shade even a "loafing barn" and a pond so they and soak their feet. Very well.

I have plenty of shady areas.. pond? I'd have to get a backhoe in here and dig out the low spot so water could build up.. Or maybe a kiddy pool?

up to about a week maybe. And kind-of-sort if its a heifer.

BIG calf.

Those are hairy tails, almost like a horse's! I expected tails like a cow.

kiddy pools work just make sure the bottom is reinforced

And when they run the tail goes up in the air SORT of like and Arabian horse.
