Sounds good Twist.Started making Christmas gifts today. Got 4 quarts of cuke refrigerator pickles made.
8 cups peeled and sliced cukes, I remove the "cores" if they are to large.
1 cup sliced peppers or celery
1 cup sliced onions
sprinkle 1 & 1/2 TBls of salt over and let sit for 1/2 hour then drain and rinse "just a bit"
Brine:
2 cups sugar
1 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp celery seed
1 cup vinegar. you choice I use white.
brine requires frequent stirring to get all the sugar to dissolve.
Actually you should make the brine first.
put into jars and seal tight. then into fridge will keep for months and months and months
