Yes, we used to run a few Herefords. They never had any trouble.


That's exactly why I was dreaming about yaks... to have tame ones for packing. I think that would be fun. I can't carry a backpack with my crappy back, but think of all the places I could go with my pack yak! Have to have at least 2 though, so they have a friend.
I don't see it happening though. Already got enough on my plate without adding more.

Llamas will carry packs too.

Saw a lovely koi pond at a home supply store. I have always loved the idea of a koi pond. The IDEA. I think the raccoons would love the actual koi pond. You have to put up so much critter and bird proofing that it ruins the effect, so I will go visit at the home store instead! Or head back to Hawaii. Lovely koi ponds there.

I loved my koi pond. So did the herons. We got black bird netting and you could hardly see it.

I am trying to keep the breeding tanks just dirty enough that their eggs wont hatch w/o hurting the parents. Working so far.

The goats were standing on the playground equipment, but when I came close to take a picture they jumped off to come see me. So then I told them with a hand signal to jump up, 2 of them did!

It would be a last resort. Needs a lot of money put in to make it a nice place to live. Needs fencing and lots of updating. Not to mention the stinky water. Also, not cell service there plus crappy internet. Hubs wouldn't be able to work.

Yes, but llamas have attitude. I was thinking of a pair of nice sweet yak steers.
