We try not to burn pine, creates a lot of creosote. There is enough hardwood here to keep us going for firewood.

It is 56°F here today, and sunny! My shoulder hurts only a little, so I got ambitious in the kitchen. Went through the freezer and grabbed all the frozen fruit that's been in there a while. Some blackberries I ran through a sieve last year to make jam out of but was left over and I never got back to. Some blueberries, some grapes, and some other mixed fruit that just got forgotten. I ended up with ten half-pints of really yummy jam!

I got the packing crate coop #1 painted inside. Need to replace perches, modify one nest box and install all of it. Thinking I will try building poop trays and see how that works out.
