Granny's gone and done it again

This are Comet and Hailey's heifer calves from this year. Comet is Hailey's mother. Getting them register is going to cost more as I have no idea who belongs to who OR if Porter or Tibbits is the sire.

The very dark one in the middle is Sonny's Heifer. SO all 3 of the heifers from this year.

How old is that barn? Reminds me of ours at the farm, but I bet yours isn't redwood.

not sure , I do know that Erv's family moved it from another farm. The greenish looking wood is what I had to replace a year or two ago.

Animal pics! Here is my pride and joy! Why, you might ask, is a teenager so happy about her chicken? It’s a long story, but the condensed version is that I rescued her from my grandparents. She couldn’t eat becuase of her beak and was so weak she couldn’t walk either. She was starving to death. When I first got her, I was out feeding her 4 times a day, plus extra time so she could be out in the dirt, for two months until she could walk again. I also personally picked maggots off of her when she got flystrike, have her PT, and nursed her through many other little hurdles. So she’s kinda my child now😂View attachment 2399540View attachment 2399541View attachment 2399542View attachment 2399543

You did good! The beak can be trimmed over time to make it better, but will be a constant thing. I have had my share of special needs chickens.
