I have to go get Toms noon meds and lunch/snack. He seems to behaving himself.

One more smoke, then I have to clean at least one cage. Have 3 cages and brooder box to clean out today. Glad I am not on anyone's schedule and can do things as I like.

My favorite part of this life! Sleep when I want, do things when I want. Only thing I have to do on time is meds and food.

Yes, that and hatching quail are my addictions.

Got 2 out of 4 cages cleaned. While I am cleaning the cages, those birds get to go into the sand bath tote, so they don't poop on the birds below them, or the floor if it is the bottom cage. They love sandbaths. After cleaning the cage, I take a small break, to give them plenty of time in the sand.

Good afternoon Everybody. Checking in a bit later than I planned.

How's the leg this morning @grannyhatchet? You might want to contact your doctor and ask him about warm moist compresses to your leg. We used to use a wet washcloth with a K-pad (heating pad, low heat) wrapped around the leg. I don't know if they are still doing that so please check with them before you try it.

Me? I've been doing the domestic goddess thing around the house today. With 7 dogs and 5 cats running around we do not have a shortage of dust bunnies. It means a daily dust mopping or vacuuming at the least. At least I got a good night's sleep last night so I feel half way human today.
