Granny's gone and done it again

I just read this on WFMY News, btw:

In the United States' system of federalism, the power to take actions for public safety emergencies generally lies with states and localities," Armijo said. "The federal government doesn’t really have the authority or police force to implement and enforce a nationwide lockdown."

Here is where it's from:

Yep that’s him. Like I said. If you don’t extinguish those bad habits by one year old it is impossible. Our breed are bad counter surfers. I can’t leave anything on the counter. It’s a self rewarding bad habit.
I just can't believe you can't extinguish a bad habit after a year! At one year, thd dog is still a puppy! I've helped dogs that got in the trash, jumped on people, ate kitty litter, chewed tv remotes, even killed chickens, WAY older than a year old! Sammy, at 16 months old, was a spinner. He just had so much pent-up, unreleased and undirected energy, he spun in circles like a dervish, like when he was waiting for a door to be opened. Now he can sit and wait, or even just stand. He used to require someone to constantly throw a ball for him. Now he can lie quietly if no one wants to play with him. He was a crazy barker att every little noise. Now he can bark a few times and stop when he's told "enough." I don't think training ever stops.

Has he always been that way? How did deal over the years? Having animals means lot of hair and dirt. They are always bringing in crap.
He seems to be getting worse as he ages. I had more than twice this many chickens in TN and 20 times more goats. A LGD that barked all night. 3 Pigs. Idk maybe I will just wear ear plugs. He doesn't seem to say anything worth hearing.

Maybe I should just stop talking all together and go live in the workshop. I was crying while sitting on the sofa last night as he got ready for bed. He didn't say anything, he just went to bed. I am going to write down all his complaints and any impossibly rare positive comments. Or I might forget. I am a mess. Going to the doctor today. Sigh.

Congratulations! He's a keeper. Babies are God's opinion that the world should go on!

PS: What's the little guy's name?

Rat traps with bacon for bait.
Our cattle dogs have learned that if somebody takes one for the team and springs a trap with their nose, they can see who grabs the trap first and then they lick off the bait. No rat traps in the house, (although I'm battling one near the coop) but they hit every mouse trap they can find.

Like I said, it's a challenge having a dog that is too smart for it's own good, let alone, 5.

Good morning all you boys and girls in Granny Land! Sunshine today here but only low 40s so I'll be working on indoor projects most of the day.
