The baking chocolate is better, chocolate chips compete with the pecan pieces. But you can sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the pie when done baking, and let them melt a bit, then spread them across the pie.

paperwork on my island. LOL I found some notes in my moms handwriting. old pads of paper , old medical records. It was a mess !

Did you read them?? IF my kids looked through my stuff, they might find some understanding. LOL

I can't eat them, but loved baking things I can't eat for others. In my case, if someone gave me a slice of pecan pie, I would suck on the nuts, to make sure no chocolate on it, and slip the nuts to Lucy. She loves them.

yes, it was hurtful to toss them . It was just like grocery lists and messages.

Sometimes I can eat nuts. I dont remember which kind but they are sorta soft. Im not supposed to though.
