Got the wood stove and chimney cleaned and serviced today. When they pulled it out from the fireplace, ..... WAAAY worse than when you pull the fridge away from the wall. It REALLY needed cleaned and serviced. I think there was an ashen squirrel among all the ashes and soot they found.

Latest chicken news... the new girls are doing fine, ate some kale today and made it into the coop and onto the roosts without help tonight.

Best news of the day... my little speckled serama laid an egg today! She's 7 yrs old. Now if she can squeeze out a couple more, I can have a good breakfast.

We ate kale today too! (Just for the record, I don't much care for the stuff.) I chopped and fried some turkey bacon in a little olive oil. Chopped some garlic into it, cooked it a few minutes till tender. Added chopped kale, sprinkled w a little s/p. Tossed and cooked just a few minutes. Turned off heat, squeezed a lime over it. It was quite good. Still chewy, as kale is, but at least I was willing to eat it, lol.

How about getting her in rehab? A mental health program?

Gotta really want it for that to work.

been there done that. Rehab won’t help until you are ready, throwing them in rehab is just a waste of money if they are not going willingly. Usually If you get off the drugs and booze a lot of those mental issues clear up.

There’s a whole lot of things that drive someone to that type of oblivion.

Well we have a total lockdown but you can still go in a bar and drink. If they serve food.

If I remember correctly it is fairly hard to replace depending on the car. Too bad Robert didn’t go to auto repair school. Those diesel mechanics make good money.
