Granny's gone and done it again

Do that! Then we'll be able to add your name to the list of "greats" we call on in cases of emergencies. I can't retain stuff I read any more. I know the questions to ask, but I don't know the answers. I'm like the nurse or whoever it is you see in the doctor's office who asks all the questions and takes your history. Useful, but not particularly helpful.
There’s even a treatment(more like a home remedy) for diarrhea in poultry! Which, for some reason after a heavy rain my guineas have watery poops, maybe I should try it next time!

Hi Verna! Hope you are having a good Christmas Eve.

Granny will tell you, but her foot pain is from degeration of the bone from medication she's needed for most of her life. She had surgery to reattach part of her Achilles to her heel, but it wasn't successful. Bone spurs too. It must be terribly painful and poor Granny has got too much pain already. :(
I stayed busy. Went to bed at a decent hour but couldn't sleep. By the time I realized that, it was too late for anyone to be on here. So I watched a couple of movies, and went back to bed at 5:30 am. Got back up at 8 and feel great, except for a bout of IBC. But that too shall pass.

I understand about her bones and medicine, but it seems to me, many times, the change in weather can aggravate any bone problems.

Verna! Don't remember if I said Merry Christmas to you! If I didn't, Merry Christmas, If I did...well, Merry Christmas again.

Sorry to hear about the foot pain Granny. RA has deformed my toes. I also have Metatarsus Aductus, meaning the bones in my feet curve inwards, plus I have plantar Fasciitis. Foot pain is a special breed of beast. Just asked DH to massage my right foot as the top is aching. When you need to walk, have to walk, depend on your feet to walk and they hurt when you do walk on them, it ain't fun.:hugs

Granny, have you ever tried Voltaren gel or Solonpas lotion with lidocaine? @penny1960 turned me on to the lidocaine rubs and my rheumatologist recommended the Voltaren for me. Voltaren is a rub on form of NSAID/ibuprofen. It really helps my feet and shoulders when they are bothering me.

I think the Voltaren comes in a generic form now and is OTC. The name brand is a bit cashy but you can find the generic on Amazon for 15.95.

Feel better.
Merry Christmas dear. It is trying to snow again today, but we have not gotten more than a light dusting so far this year.

Even though I started late in the year to this thread... You all have been the most amazing people, and have definitely brightened up my year. I hope today is even half as great as you all are. :hugs
We love you too. I started in this thread soon after I joined BYC.

My waterers are frozen solid. That’s a first this winter. My duck pools had a huge ice piece over them. I took that off so that all of my outside animals That I’m allowing to free range today (Guineas, cats, ducks chickens) can get a drink of water. I had to put the rabbit and the quail a cup of water since there was no hope in getting them unfrozen anytime soon.
