My waterers are frozen solid. That’s a first this winter. My duck pools had a huge ice piece over them. I took that off so that all of my outside animals That I’m allowing to free range today (Guineas, cats, ducks chickens) can get a drink of water. I had to put the rabbit and the quail a cup of water since there was no hope in getting them unfrozen anytime soon. View attachment 2463022
I can understand that. High here is only suppose to be 23 F. My quail are indoors, so that is one problem I don't have to worry about.
 
IF Everything goes right with this hatch. I will replace them in about 8 weeks. About once a year you should replace the females, and about every 6 months for the males. That way you have a good hatch rate on your eggs.
