Wow!

Yeah, it was just earlier this week. I thought it big, so weighed it

So far I have 6 hatched. 2 are english white throwbacks, 2 are pharaohs, and 2 are whitewings.

So if its a different strain getting the vaccine wont help will it ? Hi Blue, how was your day?

All the news is saying that the current vaccine will work against the mutated virus. The vaccine responds to little protein globs on the outside of the virus (the part that allows the virus to attach to and enter human cells). Seems those receptor sites are not what mutated. It's the natural course of viruses to mutate, and they usually become less deadly when they do. Viruses that kill their hosts too quickly can't reproduce and so don't survive.

Happy almost 2021, everyone!
I just stopped in to catch up. Slept a lot yesterday, finally. Trying to do some dreaded cooking today so we can have a little feast with my dad tomorrow. Still getting one or 2 eggs from two of the new pullets. Hoping another starts soon. It's always so exciting getting eggs. Extended Christmas all year!

Well, I have procrastinated as long as I can. Dragging myself off to the torture chamber...
