Wait until I get pics of the babies all fluffed up![]()
I've hatched a couple before. I would have kept them if I had somewhere to keep them!

I’ll snap a pic tomorrow. My uncle built it, and it’s similar to an off-ground rabbit hutch. Better yet I could take a video, because I have an extra one as well. What do you keep yours in?

I use cardboard flats over a wire bottom. It would have been more convenient if it were built with an already solid bottom, but hey at least it was builtThank you! That would be awesome! I was looking at the rabbit hutches on Amazon thinking they might work. lol
Do you have a solid bottom with shavings or do they have the wire bottom?

I know I wouldn’t like walking on wire 24/7! So, I assumed they wouldn't like it either. I’ll try to take a video in the morning and I’ll tag you when I post it here.I was concerned about it too! I'm glad I'm not the only one.![]()
But quail are so easy to tend to. And you don't have to chase them down, unless you accidently keep the cage open. 3 more hatched today. So that means 19 hatched and only 1 failed to thrive so far. The one that died, died in the incubator, not making it for 12 hours.@Verna Y and @HuffleClaw are making me want quail. I really don't need anything else to tend to though....or do I?
A wire bottom is best, but not a rabbit hutch you buy at the store. They could escape from them.Thank you! That would be awesome! I was looking at the rabbit hutches on Amazon thinking they might work. lol

They do fine on good wire bottom. Gonna have to take a pick of my cages so you all can see them.I use cardboard flats over a wire bottom.
