Granny, do you have any parchment paper?? You could always try to wrap asparagus in parchment, sealing it with folding. And steam bake it the last 10 minutes of your roasted roots.

Lol, I am 5'1". When I moved here I knew the counters were custom built and at least an inch too high for me because I could not easily put my foot on them. But DH, for my wedding present, let me totally remodel it. Standard countertops are perfect for me to knead bread, etc. So I am a happy camper. And I can put my foot on them any time I want!

Why brown

I use self rising white flour. I meant you have to brown it/cook it. Keep stirring it til its brown in color.
