Granny's gone and done it again

I really doubt they could go that long, we still don't have power.
Sorry Cap.
I read a book about the early days of the poultry boom in this part of the country, specifically Petaluma, CA (the Egg Basket of the World!). Before electricity, they would put a shoebox of hatching eggs under the wood stove and hatch them that way. They put moist soil under the straw so it didn't get too dry. I'm sure it took a lot of trial and error, but they made it work.
My mom would put a paper towel over the eggs and mist that every time she turned them. That was using a plain lightbulb for heat.

news said 2-4 inches tonight and 8-12 mid day tomorrow. Said everyone in the viewing area should have min. of 10 inches by tomorrow evening . Good thing is the weekend is calling for 40s so we should be out of the house by next sunday.
A solid week in here w/ no company and all 3 of us driving each other nutty. Should be interesting to say the least.

Oh boy. I'm glad you are all stocked up on food.
We complain about CA and all its problems, but at least where I live, winter is not one of them. We pay our dues during fire season.

I like how explains it. Simple to understand. I wonder how long I was pre diabetic and didn’t have a clue. I thought if my blood sugar was normal I was fine.
Yes. I want them to see that even though they think they are handling the carbs just fine, they are probably heading in the wrong direction without knowing it.
He said the average person was getting 31 tsp sugar per day. 31 X 4.2 grams means people are eating over 130 g of carbs per day. I'm sure I was getting more than that before changing my diet.
