Saw on the news that parts of TX are without power and the temps are extremely cold. It's not good. Hope Pert isn't caught up in that. He has a wood stove, doesn't he?

Well.... what you get at the store isn't that. If you make your own butter, what's left is sweet and thin and delicious, nothing at all like the thick, tart stuff you get at the store, which is cultured buttermilk.

I rather eat that sprouted potato in my fish tank.

Lol. I have been known to gnaw tiny chunks off the butter, like a mouse. Long ago. In a previous life. Last month, maybeeee.

I checked them on www.weather.com and it looks like their biggest concern is a hard freeze.

Yes, it might be. They are not set up for how cold it is. News said the windmill generators have frozen and failed among other things.

Verna, I Hopefully have some fish coming in tomorrow that has been in the mail for a solid week tomorrow. Im trying to hold out hope for them. I hope they go into a hibernation mode .
