and NOW even if you have gas boilers they are required to be electric ignition and then the electric recirulating pumps are electric so still pretty much screwed. THANK YOU Obama admin.

I've heard theres places that are trying to outlaw gas stoves/furnaces altogether. Now that's some BS in my books. Now that I've cooked with a gas stove, I hate my electric lol. Though it could be THIS electric I hate....but I know that poop would NOT fly in the north - gas is too efficient as a means to heat.

Solar is getting cheaper, it's the batteries that kill you. Even then, solar isn't the answer across the board. It's great here...but places with lots of cloud cover, or even places with snow/heavy snow/hail could damage the panels/etc. The solar/inverter on the motorhome for example could run our fridge when we lost power under the red flag event, but it couldn't run AC/house heater/anything too ambitious.

Some drugs get over-prescribed, sure. But there's no shame in anyone who can benefit from drugs using them.

It's not a matter of shame. Drugs should be the last resort, after all other methods to solve the problem have been tried. It takes months to get the right med at the right dose working properly, and often the results are not as long lasting or effective as other methods.

Nothing Froze or Broke that I am aware of . Got to xbox with brother. They have no water , evidently the "system" is dry. So he and wifey and her friend (visiting) were catching rain in buckets and hauling it in to fill the tubs so they can flush the toilets.

So many frozen pipes broken all over the place. Lot of people aren't going to have water even when the water gets up and running again. Plumbers are going to be in high demand.

It blows my mind the trouble Texas is in. No water cause the pumping stations and treatment plants can't run without power...everything is dependent on the electricity...which shows the flaws and weaknesses of a fully electric society.

nope , I guess at least at the moment Robert and Vicki are taking him. But that's still 48 hours away so who knows. I find that amusing considering his 20 something son is living with him.

They need an eye roll choice under the likes!

If I cant get Robert to therapy, his worker doesnt know what to do neither do I or his dr. then I think drugs is the last resort. Not that he will take them any ways. Maybe if I could go to therapy they could teach me what to do but insurance wont work that way.

I struggle when I am in bad pain to put my mind in a better place (like cutting up with yall) because thats just how it works.

It doesn't help after the sun goes down unless you have some sort of battery system to run your lights and fridge all night. Elon Musk, who started Tesla car company and SpaceX Rockets, has developed a decent battery and shared the know how with everyone. If you wanted one of those batteries big enough to run your household, it only costs about $60,000. (Neighbor got one.) The technology will get better and cheaper eventually, but Pro's right, we can't get ahead of ourselves and go all renewable energy before we're ready.

Yes, but they should. They are getting paid to provide services to people with special needs, but not providing the necessary training to the people who are doing the work. I suppose it's better than no service at all, but seems pretty close to being a scam to me.
