Save the plants? Put them in a different tank and get some plastic plants for the munchers.
Do you still have any of the anachris/elodea plants? Were you able to grow extra?
He was lucky to show up at your house. His haircut looks good.Yes, with my terrible scissors haircut.
Scooter was a stray. Showed up here 10 years ago... lean, muscular little un-neutered ruffian who promptly and fearlessly took on my 85lb Newfie cross (Belle). Belle was the one unsocialized, from a litter of pups taken from mom at 5 wks and dumped at a shelter. Had I known what damage that does, I would not have taken her. Belle had terrible social skills, was dominant but fearful. Scooter showing up, being all macho and fearless, but very appropriate, was the best thing that could have happened to her. She calmed down quite a bit and was much less nervous at the vet when Scoot came with her.
Scooter has pretty good social skills, and he LOVES kids, but will not back down if a dog challenges him, no matter how big. He has barked and growled while leashed, but it's always over a problem dog. Most dogs he exchanges sniffs perfectly. He never starts a fight, but he will be dominant. He's older now, more mellow. My sister has a Yorkie cross from a hoarding situation. She's high energy and a bit crazy. Scooter sits on her and blocks her movements to try to control her in our house. Outside, she runs rings around him, poor old guy, but he did teacher her to allow to be sniffed. He's a pretty great dog and I can't take any credit as he was a young adult when he showed up. We neutered him asap, but he was full grown and full of hormones!
I dont have any right now. I saved seeds and the pot is ready. Just waiting on the weather. Cant ever remember to buy anyZquash?
