Granny's gone and done it again

no idea, your talking to a "northerner" is there a difference ?? Nothing in the cornbread like peppers or GOD forbid kernels of corn. Just plain.
Northern corn bread is high, sweet and fluffy, almost like cake. The way folks eat it around here, it is short, heavy, dense, dry and baked in a skillet. I cook it for The Man but I don't eat it. At least I try to but the stuff insists on rising no matter how hard I try not to let it.
