Granny's gone and done it again

Chickens can sure be horrible to each other. My poor Crested Cream Legbar pullet got the back of her neck all ripped up by the three. Bantam cochin pullets that are smaller, but possibly older than she is. Great big hole, the size of a quarter where all the skin has been ripped off! I was just getting ready to sell her and this happens! So she's in a quail pen in the barn by herself. Those cochin pullets may get some of their own medicine when I move them in with the other pair of mottled cochins!

Birds can be prejudice I have found.

I am tired from cleaning litter and spreading it out. I got one brooder done, and about half of a chicken coop. Still not done the goat house, maybe tomorrow. I also pulled weeds and picked up sticks. And filled waterers.

She seems to be. I cleaned her wound, put vitamins in the water and gave her high protein food. Oh and put a heat lamp on in case she's in shock.

I decided it is too late in the day to finish the quail cages, so will do them in the morning, no matter what. So I gave the boogers a little treat of mealy worms. They tried to snatch them out of my hand as I tried to spread it. LOL
