Don't peel em. Pick em young and tender, cut em up, steam or boil. Yummers!I seen thoe once before. You must have some mad peeling skills
They're hard to beat. I used soapy water which helped some. Then I sprinkled 7 dust on the ground around the stems. They say if you wait until later in the year to plant the bugs will have given up and moved on. Apparently they emerge from wherever expecting a feast. If it's not there they move out. Never tried that method.Pert, how do you kill the little buggers? I gave up on squash bc of them. Granny they are shaped like a shield and there will be a bunch of em.

We had dark green ones last year, called Scallopini.I had the bright yellow ones one year OMG did they produce squash.
Thanks! I lived in MT when I had them before and haven't seen them since, so maybe it's a regional thing. Appreciate it!that was years ago BUT I will keep a look out for any seeds up here.
I just want tomatoes. I am going to look for some patio type this yr and see if they will do better then what I had.
