It's not so simple. They have to find the right amounts for the right price at the right time. Berry growers watch the weather and calculate when the fruit will be ripe. They have to have buyers all lined up before the berries are ripe so they will be fresh for us to buy at the store. Lot of times there are brokers that buy whole harvests and then resell it, kind of like middlemen, between the farmers and the grocery stores.

It's a far cry from a local farmers market.

It depends on your service and how fast the computer is. An update probably won't take hours, but it can take longer than you think. Once it gets going, you can walk away and let it do its thing.
